West Haven Sailors Claim Victory Over CT Barons North

West Haven Sailors beat CT Barons North 5-3 on Thursday at West Haven High School.
The Barons got on the board in the top of the fifth inning after Antonio Marchetti was struck by a pitch, Nick D'orso was struck by a pitch, and Connor Lytle walked, each scoring one run.
West Haven flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 5-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Riley Reimund that drove in two.
Evan Jones earned the win for the Sailors. The reliever gave up two hits and three runs over one inning, striking out none and walking two. Jack Hawes stepped on the bump first for West Haven Sailors. The pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking none.
Reimund provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led West Haven with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Anthony Lucibello went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Sailors in hits. Lucibello stole two bases. West Haven ran wild on the base paths, tallying four stolen bases for the game. The Sailors turned one double play in the game.
