Unearned Runs Come Back to Bite the West Haven Sailors Against the Gold Star Generals

The West Haven Sailors fell 7-2 to the Gold Star Generals on Tuesday despite out-hitting them six to three. The story of the game was 4 unearned runs given up by the Sailors behind starter Logan Huzi.

Sam Ametrano led the Sailors with two hits. Sean Cleary had one run batted in with a sacrifice fly in the top of the 4th. Ametrano stole two bases in the loss.

West Haven turned one double play in the game behind John Debarber who pitched three spotless innings in relief for the Sailors.

Anthony Jessuck started the game for the Generals. The Sailors struggled against him, only collecting two hits and no runs over three innings, despite gifting the Sailors three walks. Jessuck struck out three in his three innings of work.
