The West Haven Sailors Came Up Short Against the Bridgeport Barnums, 4–3

The West Haven Sailors could not keep pace with the Bridgeport Barnums 4-3 on Sunday at West Haven High School.
A single by Tim Cap put West Haven on the board in the bottom of the first. However, in the top of the fourth inning, Bridgeport went back into the lead after Nicolas Piscioniere singled to center field, Will Stellato doubled down the left field line, Bryan Vasquez grounded into a fielder's choice, and Cam Forte grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
Jesse Buonocore took the loss for West Haven. The hurler went three innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking none. Matt Cummings earned the save.
Cap provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led West Haven Sailors with three runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. West Haven Sailors stole four bases in the game.
The Sailors will look to bounce back after a tough loss in their game
