Sean Cleary drove in four runs on one hit to lead West Haven Sailors past GoldStar Generals 8-3 on Wednesday at West Haven High School. In the fourth inning, Cleary doubled, scoring three runs.

West Haven opened the scoring in the first after Kyle Justo singled, scoring one run.

West Haven added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Anthony Lucibello grounded into a fielder's choice, and Cleary grounded out, each scoring one run.

A double by Tim Capp extended the Sailors lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

GoldStar scored one run in the top of the sixth on a solo home run to left field by Wyatt Verbridge on a full count.

Tyler Hodella earned the win for West Haven. The righty gave up three hits and one run over five innings, striking out four and walking one. Jackson Pray took the loss for GoldStar Generals. The hurler went two innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on one hit, striking out two and walking three. Logan Huzi appeared in relief for the West Haven Sailors.

Derek Porto, Capp, Lucibello, Luke Anderson, Cleary, and Justo each collected one hit for West Haven Sailors. Connor Crowley paced West Haven Sailors with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game.
