Piscioniere and Tenney highlight West Haven Player of the Week Awards

During the week of July 5 to July 11 the Sailors won two of their three games. The success was largely in part to junior outfielder Nicolas Piscioniere and sophomore starter Collin Tenney, winning Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week for the club.
Piscioniere finished the week as the hottest bat in the lineup, reaching base four times in six plate appearances with two hits and two walks. He also stole two bases and scored twice en route to winning West Haven’s weekly award.
It was another successful week for Tenney as he took home his second consecutive Pitcher of the Week Award. In his latest work, he shut down the Hamden bats in a six inning performance where he did not allow an earned run.. He struck out eight while allowing just three hits.
