After a dominant summer with the West Haven Sailors, left-handed pitcher Chris Zajac is set to join the NECBL. The Easton, Connecticut native has signed with the Bristol Blues of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, where he’ll continue his impressive run on the mound.

Zajac, who is planning on attending Felician University in the fall, turned heads during the 2025 summer season. He appeared in 7 games (6 starts), throwing 23.1 innings while facing 111 batters. He allowed just 11 hits and held opponents to a .129 batting average. Zajac finished the season with a 2–1 record, a 2.10 ERA, and 45 strikeouts, consistently delivering in big moments for West Haven.

Zajac’s combination of deception, command, and strikeout ability played a key role in the Sailors’ rotation this summer. “Chris gave us a chance to win every time he took the ball,” said Sailors owner Tim Binkoski. “He competes hard, attacks hitters, and brings real presence on the mound. We’re excited to see him continue his summer in Bristol with the Blues.”
