Brian Goglia Signs with Bristol Blues of the NECBL

West Haven Sailors right-handed pitcher Brian Goglia is taking his talents to the NECBL. The Milford, Connecticut native has signed with the Bristol Blues of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, one of the top summer leagues in the country.

A sophomore at Virginia Commonwealth University and graduate of Jonathan Law High School, Goglia appeared in relief for the Sailors during the 2025 season. He threw 5.1 innings across multiple outings, striking out 10 batters and allowing just one hit while holding opponents to a .059 batting average. He recorded one save in one opportunity and left seven runners stranded, showing flashes of high-upside potential.

Now joining the Blues, Goglia will continue his development in a highly competitive NECBL environment. “Brian showed us his ability to compete in big spots,” said Sailors owner Tim Binkoski. “With his work ethic and determination, we’re excited to see what he does in Bristol.”
